The “green cart” ripple effect

Sustainable development

Sanivap’s steam cleaning system is 100% ecological and meets the requirements of sustainable development. It also fits with a corporate social responsibility approach and a continuous quality improvement dynamic.

Sanivap invented the dual steam cleaning system nearly 25 years ago and has become the leader in this chemical-free market, with nearly 15,000 generator carts sold, first in France, but also in 21 countries abroad. A quarter of a century of proven effectiveness.

The principle

A very high temperature steam (over 95°C at the accessory outlet) under pressure (5 bars) guarantees that bio-cleaning is effective in terms of detergency and disinfection, bacteria, mycobacteria, viruses, yeasts.

This effectiveness is attested to by Sanivap’s compliance with the recent NF T72-110 standard on “Surface disinfection using steam” published in March 2019, a few months before the first wave of Covid-19 broke out.

The health crisis then boosted Sanivap’s production for its traditional health market, hospitals and clinics, with a growing demand from nursing homes, but also in the early childhood sector, particularly day care centres. As for the food industry, it had just been reminded to be vigilant after certain contamination scandals…

Sanivap offers a solution for every industry, with a wide range of generators and accessories.

But the epidemic swept through the world just at the moment that Sanivap was acquired by the Oxy’Pharm group, the leader in automated surface bio-disinfection. As it was between the two groups during the epidemic, both teams were able to work in parallel with the same commitment on common fundamentals and then in 2021 they began working in-depth on the synergy of cleaning/disinfection and automated bio-disinfection in a sustainable manner.

The basics

First, ecology. 100% natural and 100% French – the factory is in the Lyon region – Sanivap’s green cart ticks all the boxes: no use of chemicals and no discharge of pollutants, very low water consumption, low energy consumption and low noise level…

At the end of the device’s life, the company has joined the Ecosystem eco-organisation to meet the requirements of the 2020 “anti-waste” law.

Second, corporate social responsibility. Sanivap is committed to its own employees (working conditions, gender diversity, anti-discrimination) but also to users looking for optimised ergonomics.

The aim is to limit musculoskeletal disorders within hygiene teams.

Quality at every stage

This is part of a permanent quality concern.

Furthermore, Sanivap complies with the demanding international standard ISO-13485 for medical devices, which has led to continuous improvement of its quality management at all stages of the chain: design, production, storage, distribution, etc.
