Frequently asked questions

  • WHAT IS AERIAL DISINFECTION OF SURFACES ?

The aerial disinfection of surfaces allows to treat hard surfaces, even unreachable areas, with an automated dispersion machine. It gives an even distribution of the product on the surfaces.

  • IS AERIAL DISINFECTION OF SURFACE SUBJECT TO AN EFFECTIVENESS STANDARD ?

Any aerial concept is subject to the AFNOR NF T 72 281 efficiency standard (November 2014). It is a mandatory standard for evaluation of bactericidal, fungicidal, yeasticidal, mycobactericidal, tuberculocidal, sporicidal and virucidal activity, including bacteriophages.

To provide the health market, they must obtain the results listed below :

    • Bactericidal activity – Log reduction ≥ 5
    • Yeast/ Fungicid activity – Log reduction ≥ 4
    • Sporicidal activity – Log reduction ≥ 3
    • Mycobactericidal activity -Log reduction ≥ 4
    • Virucidal activity – Log reduction ≥ 4
    • Fungicidal activity – Log reduction ≥ 4
    • Bacteriophagic activity – Log reduction ≥ 4

This standard defines very specifically the conditions of the diffusion and the arrangement of contamined coupons, their orientation, the interfering substance used, etc.

  • IS YOUR CONCEPT BIODEGRADABLE ? DOES IT LEAVE NO RESIDUE ?

Our concept of aerial surface disinfection uses a hydrogen peroxide product (without peracetic acid). It is therefore completely biodegradable and it leaves no residue on treated surfaces.

  • ARE ALL AERIAL DISINFECTANT PRODUCTS BIODEGRADABLE ? DO THEY LEAVE NO RESIDUE ?

Only products containing hydrogen peroxide are completely biodegradable and don’t leave no residue on treated surfaces.

However, products containing peracetic acid are agressive, corrosive and leave residue on treated surfaces.

  • ARE PRODUCTS USED WITH YOUR AERIAL SYSTEM THEY CORROSIVE ?

Our products contain only hydrogen peroxide (no peracetic acid because it is corrosive).

They are sprayed in dry fog (liquid product transformed into gas) and are not corrosive wherever are being used.

  • ARE ALL AERIAL DISINFECTANT PRODUCTS CORROSIVE ?

Products containing hydrogen peroxide can be corrosive if they are diffused in liquid form and if they wet the surfaces.

However, diffused in dry fog, products containing hydrogen peroxide are not corrosive wherever are being used.

Products containing peracetic acid are corrosive for the materials, no matter the diffusion mode.

Formaldehyde products are corrosive and classified as carcinogens.

  • IS AERIAL DISINFECTION OF SURFACES HAZARDOUS FOR THE USER ?

Since the aerial disinfection of surfaces is operated in the absence of human presence (and it does not leave residu on the surfaces), the operation is safe for the user, provided that the requirements are met.

  • CAN AERIAL DISINFECTION DEVELOP RESISTANCE TO GERM ?

Our aerial disinfection concept disperses biodegradable products and leaves no residue on the surface. In this way, any resistance to germ can’t be developped.

However, aerial disinfection concept which diffuses non-biodegradable products and leaves residue on the surface can develop resistance to germ.

  • DOES AERIAL DISINFECTION REPLACE CLEANING ?

It does not. Disinfection comes after cleaning.

Cleaning allows to remove dirt and microbes (bio film) with a detergent. It removes a lot of microbes existing on the surface.

  • IS FURTHER ACTION AT THE END OF CONTACT TIME NECESSARY WITH YOUR AERIAL DISINFECTION CONCEPT ?

It is not. Our concept leaves no residues on the surfaces for it’s fully biodegradable.

Our product naturally decomposes to water and oxygen after the contact time. Consequently, there is no need to rinse, to wipe the surfaces nor to air the room after a disinfection process achieved with our concept.

  • CAN YOUR DISINSECTISATION PRODUCTS ALSO USE WITH YOUR DIFFUSION MACHINE ?

Our insecticides can also be used with our diffusion machine to ensure an evenly diffusion in the treated room.

Used in complement, our insecticides can also be applied locally with a spray gun, if necessary.

  • WHAT DO YOUR INSECTICIDES CONTAIN ?

Our insecticides are based on natural pyrethrins and permethrin.

  • WHAT IS THE PERSISTENCE OF YOUR INSECTICIDES ?

Our insecticides are efficient for 4 weeks. The treatments must be achieved periodically.
