With Covid 19, the fight against hospital-acquired infections is even more topical. For 25 years, the Oxy’Pharm group has been investing in disinfection solutions in an eco-responsible manner. Romain Rouleau, Managing Director of the group, gives us more information.

Who are you addressing?

All professionals, whether they are in the medical field, the food industry, the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry or communities such as day care centres, schools and all companies that need disinfection solutions that are suitable to their environment. The Oxy’Pharm group manufactures and distributes machines and biodegradable products for airborne surface disinfection, a concept that operates in a 100% automated manner, as well as for insect extermination. We are proud to be a 100% French producer although almost 90% of our turnover comes from sales in 115 countries around the world. With the global pandemic, our turnover has risen from €8M in 2019 to over €35M in 2020. We were able to double our staff, and take on 2500 m2 of additional workspace.

And what is your added value?

Our processes comply with disinfection efficiency standards such as EN 17272 so all our products are tested against viruses (including human coronavirus), spores, fungi and bacteria.

But, and this is the big difference, our product is based on hydrogen peroxide (not peracetic acid), a non-aggressive component that is not corrosive to any materials and leaves no residue on surfaces. In France, our highly efficient field team sets up tests and validates disinfection protocols after a demonstration. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our machines and products, we take samples from surfaces before and after using our concept.

Have you recently acquired another company?

Our company focuses on automated disinfection and markets disinfection pairs that combine a machine and a product. To complete our cleaning offer, we acquired Sanivap a year ago, the leading manufacturer of steam cleaning and disinfecting devices for professionals, which, unlike machines available to individuals, can operate for more than 8 hours a day. Our development is also exponential with this new branch. At the end of 2019 our turnover was 4.2M, by 2020 it was 6.5M and we continue to grow over time with the recognition of the effectiveness of our product range.
